We've been busy with COVID, monsoons, fiscal year end, DOJ, and sending peace to those in need. We carry on. Heads down, focused on the work, doing the day to day, and pushing for systems change, taking the high road.
This coming Sunday marks one year since our champion, Mike McQuaid passed away due to COVID. I still expect him to walk through the door of my office. He would say "you got a minute?" And dang, it still hurts.
Here it is another July, wishing for monsoon weather that includes rain and not just dust storms. At the Human Services Campus we continue to follow COVID protocols, testing and vaccinating. Face covering and hand sanitizing. We adapt, we shift, we persevere.
Fewer positive COVID cases on the Human Services Campus. Testing and vaccinations continue. Mask wearing indoors. Lots of hand sanitizer in use. Coughing still makes people tense up. I’m sticking with fist bumps and hugs.
