For the calendar year 2023, according to Maricopa Association of Governments, there were 19 new people experiencing homelessness for every 10 people finding housing.

As human beings, it doesn't matter if it's an island or a desert, everyone deserves safe, permanent, affordable housing.

For me, the choice is to act with love. There is no maximum capacity on how much love one human being has and can give.

There are lessons to be learned from the last several years. There are definitely situations myself and HSC don't want to repeat.

We have to pull ourselves through the uncertainty, the chaos, the ups and downs, because thousands of people are expecting us to help them.

The human element is perhaps the most important. People are the numbers. More than 7,000 human beings waiting for housing.
